Friday, February 14: Students answered oral question 5 today: Es-tu aussi vieux/vieille que moi? Please be ready to make up oral questions missed on Monday after break. Students worked on poster projects as explained above. Test on Leçon 19 will now be Wednesday after the break.
Monday, February 24: We discussed items to bring for our Mardi Gras fête tomorrow. You can help clean up! We also did listening activities to prepare for the Leçon 19 TEST which will be Wednesday. The study guide was passed out and is attached below. It is due Wednesday.
Tuesday, February 25: Fête de Mardi Gras! Study guide is due tomorrow and test on Leçon 19 is tomorrow.
Friday, February 28: We checked the study guide and took the test on Leçon 19. Madame will not be here on Monday, so you will be reading the note culturelle for Leçon 20 and taking notes on new vocab.
Monday, March 2: Madame was absent. The class read the Note Culturelle for Leçon 20 and answered the attached questions. They took notes on the new vocab and did Exercises 1, 2,3 on pages 286-287
Tuesday, March 3: We went over the new vocab words from yesterday and checked yesterday's homework. We received a list of ten questions that will be answered orally (attached below).. We will be practicing all 10 and next week Madame will choose 5 to randomly ask each student (we will be answering all 5 at one time). Homework: Answer questions 1-4 on the oral question sheet.
Wednesday, March 4: We reviewed oral questions 1-4 and did a round robin to practice them. We did a group activity with a partner to review vocabulary that you will need to do on your own. Make a "one-pager" using 4 vocab words from page 285 (choose one noun, one adjective, one verb and one expression). For each word, give the meaning in English, draw a picture to represent it and write a complete sentence in French using the word. Homework: Be prepared to answer questions 9 and 10 on the oral question sheet.
Thursday, March 5: We used a one-pager to review vocab and reviewed questions 1-4. We practiced 9 and 10 with a round robin. We took Cornell Notes on the uses of the pronoun "on". Homework: Write summary for Cornell Notes, be prepared to answer #5 on question sheet, do page 288 Exercise 5
Friday, March 6: We did a round robin to practice all oral question (1-5 and 9-10). We reviewed "on" and had students read summaries of yesterday's Cornell notes. We checked yesterday's homework. Homework: page 289 Exercises 6 and 7
Monday, March 9: We practiced all oral questions that we have gone over (1-5, 9 and 10). We reviewed the use of "on" and checked exercises 6 and 7. We took Cornell Notes on "RE" verbs and how to conjugate them. Homework: Write summary portion of notes; answer questions 6-8 on the oral question sheet, do exercises, page 290 exercise 9 and 10.
Wednesday, March 11: We practiced oral questions 6, 7, 8. Tomorrow is the oral quiz on all 10 questions (5 chosen randomly). We reviewed "re" verbs on the board. Homework: page 290 exercise 11 and we will check Monday's homework (9 and 10) tomorrow as well
Thursday, March 12: We checked yesterday's homework. We took Cornell Notes on forming the imperative (commands) in French. Some students answered the five random oral questions. We will wrap that up tomorrow. Homework: page 291 Exercises 13, 14, 15
Friday, March 13: We worked on test corrections and an in class project: Make a small poster (construction paper size) that gives 8 Imperative sentences The sentences should be advice for French I students (this means you will use the "vous" form of the imperative An example would be: Speak French often in class! For each sentence you must use 2 "er" verbs, 2"ir" verbs, 2 "re" verbs and 2 irregular verbs. Each sentence must have at least 4 words Each sentence must have a picture to illustrate it.
Some worksheets were given out to do during our school shut down. I will post them here or on Remind when I assign them. JOIN the REMIND for French 2 by texting @7fk6b to 81010. I will be sending assignments periodically throughout our shut-down, so you MUST check the REMIND and this Weebly regularly.
